The Informal Development Partners Working Group on Decentralisation and Local Governance Portal - DeLoG
The development of a conceptual framework, shared vision and operational co-ordination in the field of decentralisation and local governance is one of the aims of the cooperation between the Development Partners (DP), in order to enhance the effectiveness of their work. This cooperation is especially characterised by its informal character. To facilitate the exchange of information among the participants, the shared workspace provides limited access only for DP.
DeLoG in Busan and Warshaw
Between 29 November and 1 December 2011, the 4th High Level Forum on Aid Effectiveness (HLF-4) was held in Busan South Korea. Around 3000 participants, representing the full variety and complexity of development cooperation, including heads of state, ministers and parliamentarians from donor and recipient countries, bi-and multilateral development partners, civil society and private sector representatives. The agreed "Busan Partnership for Effective Development Co-operation" reflects this variety and complexity of development actors.
DeLoG’s publication: “Busan and Beyond: Localising Paris Principles for more Effective Support to Decentralisation and Local Governance Reforms.” was launched by David Morrison, UNCDF Executive Secretary.

DeLoG in Busan and Warshaw
On 15 and 16 December 2011 the European Development Days (EDD) took place in Warshaw Poland jointly organised by the European Commission and the Presidency of the Council of the European Union. EDD is Europe's premier forum on international affairs and development cooperation. In 2011 'De-velopment and Democracy' was the main theme and focus. All together one thousand of de-velopment advocates, decision-makers and practitioners have participated.
DeLoG together with the Practitioners' Network for European Development Cooperation have organised a panel on "Spotlight on Decentralisation: Strengthening Local Governance and Accountability mechanisms: Translating development strategies into results at local level"
