Announcement of Seminar on Decentralisation and Local Governance

You are involved in programmes focussing on decentralisation processes and in support of participatory local governance.
These aspects have become prominent on the Development Partner's agenda in many developing and transitional countries.
"Increasingly, decentralised decision-making and service provision, local and participatory processes are assisting in the prioritisation of poverty reduction objectives, approaches to employment creation, gender equity and environmental regeneration" (UNDP, A Global Analysis of UNDP Support to Decentralisation and Local Governance Programmes 2001).

As you might be looking for new impulses, an opportunity to exchange your experiences, learn from the insights of other experts and be prepared to receive input and feedback from trainers with a record of broad international operation and methodological expertise, we have the opportunity to announce to you a 2,5 days seminar presented in Bad Honnef, near Bonn. The seminar is scheduled to take place 4 times this year:
(May 27 to 29)
July 29 to 31
September 30 to October 2
November 18 to 20

Registration forms can be obtained via Ms Renate Siebert
